First of all, we need to
understand "In Buddhism, the concept of Dharma, or natural
law, is central to understanding the nature of reality and reducing
suffering." that there are good and bad dharmas or natural laws
- being the ultimate reality, their nature cannot change. If we don't know good
as good or bad then bad; how dangerous it is for us.
Now, what's worse? Bad is
like poison if we do not know poison as poison if someone gives us two dishes
to eat, one which is poison, the other is not, which is more important to know?
Of course, this is a poisoned dish, otherwise, we will be harmed if we eat it. “That’s
why lord Buddha emphasized avoiding the pitfalls, or bad Dharmas, first.
The reason for not doing bad is more important than not
doing good, the nature of bad is with blame and is to blame; It brings bad
consequences or danger to any person of any religion (not only for Buddhism) or
caste. Just as one who does bad (unclean) by eating poisonous food, does his
harm. Some chemicals, even in small amounts, are harmful to health. they poison
us slowly. Like drop by drop a pitcher of water is filled. If taken in
afflicted quantities, they cause our death. It's the same with the unhygienic -
too bad an unhealthy one can have an immediate effect.
From the point of view of
Buddhism, there are ten kinds of bad deeds done by actions, speech, and thoughts
that create bad karma - namely murder, theft, sexual misconduct, lying,
slander, harsh speech, frivolous talk, greed, malice, and false-vision.
Now, what is unhealthy or
healthy? Healthy is free from defects, brings good, pleasant effects. Like
water, whoever uses it is pure. Dirty things get washed away.
We should know the
difference between the two. Check your thoughts in daily life. For example, if
you see some beautiful flowers, you might think that I want to pluck them for
my dining table, or that you think of offering them to an image of Buddha.
Good or bad, this religion
is in all of us, everyone knows them. Don't think that greed is your only
asset. all have. Is there anyone who has never been jealous or angry? Usually,
we experience more bad religions--less than good ones. Being weak in mind, it
takes pleasure in evil. In any normal person, unhealthy mental states are very
diverse and quick to attack and pollute the mind.
From the point of view of
Buddhism, there are ten kinds of good deeds, namely generosity, morality,
meditation, reverence, service, transfer of merit, rejoicing in the good deeds
of others, listening to the doctrine, interpreting the doctrine, and
straightening one's point of view.
When you do good deeds, it
is like taking medicine which cures our disease, we have to develop the good
because we cannot remove the bad inside us directly. First, we have to see a
doctor who prescribes medicine because we cannot treat the disease ourselves.
If we don't take medicine
later, even doctors can't do anything. If we do not know and learn what is bad
and what is good, then we are like blind without eyes in this world. That's why
Buddha always pointed out not to do evil, cultivate goodness and purify one's
mind.
You will get the same fruit as
the seed you sow.
